Metroplex Medical Centres Cares: #MMCCares

Community giveback is at the core of our mission.

Giving Back: #MMCCares

Metroplex Medical Centres has a long standing tradition of giving back to the community. Our team is committed to improving the health of those in our community, and our world.

Members of our provider team have volunteered their time with global medical outreach programs to provide primary care to individuals who would otherwise have no such care. We have also donated critical medical supplies for use on such missions. This humanitarian work reaffirms why our doctors chose to become primary care providers with us.

Honduras Medical Mission

In 2014, Ms. Patel volunteered to go on a medical mission trip to Honduras with a group of students from Arizona State University and Global Brigades. The mission was a success, having raised over $65,000 in donations and countless medications and supplies for use during the trip.

It was on this trip that she made it a goal to go back, but not just as a volunteer, as a leader. In 2017, Ms. Patel led a group of volunteers back to Honduras to help those in most need of medical care.

Rebuilding Nepal

The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed over 8,000 people and injured more than 21,000. It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake. It also triggered an avalanche on Mount Everest, killing 21. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened, across many districts of the country. Mr Kalarn was able to spend a number of days in the aftermath assisting with clean up and rebuilding rural areas in Nepal.
